| FAQ
Q What should I expect on my first visit?
A You will have a full assessment where you will discuss your symptoms and anything relevant with the Physiotherapist, followed by her looking at how you move and what causes and helps your condition. She will discuss her findings with you and make a diagnosis and treatment plan. She will also carry out a treatment session with you.
Q What should I wear?
A The Physiotherapist or other Professional will need to see the area that is causing your symptoms so please wear appropriate, loose, comfy clothing. Your dignity will be respected at all times. Please tell your practitioner if you are uncomfortable at any time.
Q Do I have to be referred by my doctor?
A No, you can refer yourself but most insurance companies require that you see your GP or a Consultant first. Please check your policy or ask you insurance company directly. We will try to assist you but will not know the ins and outs of your particular cover.
Q Are weekend and evening appointments available?
A Yes, on request. Please phone for details.
Q Is there easy parking?
A Yes, we have eight designated parking places and a disabled space right outside the clinic. These are free of charge and easily accessible from Grey's Road.
Q How do I use my health insurance?
A Each policy is specific to you and there are variations between insurance companies. Most insurance companies require you have seen your GP or a Consultant, then phone them to get a claim number. We will need your membership number and claim number on your first visit to us to process payment. Some insurance companies require you pay then get an invoice from us to claim the fee back. Please check your policy with your provider before you see us so there is no confusion.
If you want to use your insurance policy for the other services at Physiolistic other than physiotherapy please check with your insurance provider to see if this is included in your policy. This does not affect your ability to use it for physiotherapy treatment.
If you wish to start self funding then decide to change to using your insurance policy this is possible. Any queries please ask and we will try to answer them for you.
Q How do I pay?
A Payments may be made by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. We can give you a receipt if you wish to have one.
Q Are there any stairs?
A The clinic is in a single story building without any stairs. We have disabled parking, are wheelchair accessible and have a disabled toilet.
Q Can I phone to talk to a Physiotherapist to find out if physio would help me?
A Yes, Angela and Jo are always happy to talk to you prior to you making an appointment if you have any queries or concerns.
