Physiotherapy

At Physiolistic we treat muscle, bone and nerve problems utilising an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.

These include sports injuries, back / neck problems, headaches and whiplash, joint problems, soft tissue injuries, work related injuries, pre and post operative rehabilitation, fractures / fractured bones and adolescent injuries. We can also offer specific Women's Health treatment including pre and post natal physiotherapy and incontinence as well as specialist treatment for the jaw and its interplay with the neck.

We use scientifically based techniques and have links with various Orthopaedic Consultants and Sports Physicians who are experts in their own field.

We are also linked to various sports clubs and provide physiotherapy services to several sporting events including Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Women's Regatta and Henley Half Marathon.

How we treat

Our physiotherapists use a number of different techniques including mobilisation, massage, exercises, electrotherapy (eg. ultrasound), biofeedback and muscle stimulation, modified pilates, acupuncture, biomechanical/video analysis, activity modification and cross training advice to continue training, and advice on injury prevention.

Your physiotherapy treatment will be specific to you. It will generally consist of a mixture of hands-on treatment and 1:1 exercise rehabilitation. You will be given a tailored home exercise programme and prevention techniques coupled with advice to allow you to take control of your condition and recovery and, most importantly, helping prevent reoccurrence.
