Shoulder

Including Shoulder pain.

As one of the more complex joints in your body it’s no surprise that shoulder pain and injuries are some of the most common issues we treat in the clinic.

As the shoulder has a wide range of movement it is quite unstable and relies on vital shoulder muscles to maintain its normal functionality. Any injury to these muscles or surrounding ligaments can therefore severely inhibit normal function.

In most cases if you are suffering shoulder pain it is because your muscles are simply not strong enough or they are uncoordinated. Fortunately, both of these dysfunctions can be normalised after a quality assessment, treatment and injury-specific exercises.

Other possible mechanical and pathological problems associated with the shoulder are numerous given its complexity, for example frozen shoulders and torn rotator cuffs. Pain can also be referred from the neck and therefore you need an accurate diagnosis to treat your problem.

At Physiolistic we have both the expert knowledge to assess and treat and the technology using diagnostic ultrasound to ‘look inside’ your shoulder. This ensures an accurate diagnosis which helps ensure optimal treatment.

If you have shoulder pain the sooner you are seen by a physio, the sooner we can resolve your shoulder problem, and the less likely the problem is to develop into a chronic condition.
